I had tha same problem, I found it easier to start the bolt in the rear before putting the front end eye in the mount.

3" lift, custom rims, snug top shell, shrockworks bumper, warn winch.
It's not a very common tool though you might find one at Home Depot. It'll be in the giant adjustable end wrench section. Which is usually in that little tool crib section and over by PPE/tool kits.

Is the tire still on the axle? If you get it close it’s really easy to use the tire to roll the off side of axle into place. As long as the rest of the truck is supported. This is where a bumper jack is great.

Otherwise loosen the ubolts. Bolt up the leaves and then attach the axle.

Either way their will probably be a slight bind that moving the axle with the wheel will help.

    Good luck!

hmm, i may give this a shot. can't hurt. i'm left handed so people are always accusing me of doing things backwards.

thanks. of course the only hw store by me is ACE. if they had one it would cost $100. seems like a pretty good tool to have though.

I do most of the time. It’s small enough to fit inside a grocery store plastic bag which is nice. I’ve had a few close encounters with rocks/submerged timber where I thought I was going to have a leak, but nothing yet thankfully. Didn’t bother me either way though, knowing I had the pump onboard.

I’m hoping I’m pretty even with the set up. On the front side of the drawer will be the compressor. Currently working on mounting that up.
    8DDD4F6A-912A-41FB-A403-F1FF3B7993D8.jpg
I’ve also got a Pelican case that’ll sit on top of the drawer and that’ll have all my kitchen supplies and some misc. camping gear.

On the passenger side of the roof, I have Plano case with all my heavier duty tools. Driver side will have some spare parts and recovery gear but all in all, the tools are heavier.
