Words of advice I got years ago from my Grandpa. It's not original but he's the first guy I heard it from. When I was 12. "You can be married or you can be right". lol

My wife and I figured out marital bliss when we got engaged. We have separate finances as well as a joint account. The joint account is scaled to income so I put in a little more then she does. We use that to pay all our bills and put what's left into joint savings. Then we each have personal accounts. I don't question when UPS delivers 18 boxes a month with her name on them and she doesn't question when my rigs in the garage getting shiny new parts. lol

I did that as well. Works pretty well except when you make a big purchase, like a car, and don't discuss. DAMHIK.

Lmfao... thats what I did when i bought my truck. Left for work in a Ford F150 Lightning... drove home in a Tacoma... 3 hours late.

That was NOT one of the best decision I've made.

Well... actually it was a really good decision. 16 years later and I still love the truck. But I STILL hear about that move every once in a while.

Good decision... bad implementation of the decision.

Dude you totally should. I wish my truck was already setup with a link setup in the rear like the 4runners are. I say build the 4runner. It's already a sweet rig. Start pimping out the rear and then move onto doing an sas when you feel like it

Go check out @In4aride 's 3 link setup he just finished on his 3rd gen(SR5). It's beastly. He has most of the build in his build thread.

The spousal unit and I had a similar arrangement for quite some time. Well, we did until I was shipped off to the ME. Had to combine everything just in case I didn't come back.

Did you keep the gas tank in the stock location with the 3-link?

That is indeed the compromise. With @eimkeith kit it's pretty easy to swap over to an f-150 tank and mount it where the spare goes. I'm probably going to go a different route. I'll 4-link but install a 32 gallon fuel cell where the spare is. To make that work I'll have to cut the floor and move the cell up into the cab about 6" or so. Then I'll build a platform over the cell with some storage built-in.

Or I'll do what I should have done from the start and build a ground up tube chassis. lol

    haha
    Well, it wasn't that slow...
Pre-COVID I would get around 30Mbps, but since everyone's at home on the towers, I've been getting around 15Mbps - 20Mbps in Jefferson.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I don't know what to do with them. I'm keeping the muscle relaxers. Those things are nice after a hard workout when you just want to sleep.

The Norco 10s though... Fuck those things are heavy. Maybe I should just give them to the homeless and let them figure it out....

I've had an F150 tank in the spare location for 5 years. I've put a single dent in it... a pretty small one too. The tank sits higher than the spare did by about an inch.
If I drag anything it's the stock trailer hitch. But the tank is still pretty vulnerable.

At some point I'm going to build a rear bumper to give the camper some more protection. When I do that the stock hitch is going to be cut off. I"ll probably leave the the hitch cross member in place because the F150 tank's cross members got welded to it.

I need to look into moving the tank upward. When the stock hitch is gone the tank is much more likely to get impacted. I think it'll be pretty easy to do. Just need to cut off the vertical brackets, make them shorter and weld back in place.

Edit: yeah, the tank is in the way of a lot of stuff. It makes a shock relocation on a 1st gen difficult. The tank takes up a ton of space.
