Where've you been? We're three pages past the event. We've assigned blame and come to a conclusion about what happened too

There are videos of cars that were at least 1km distance being blown away

Where ever they were filming from, the blast wave was incredible and there were two or three different angles and none of them seemed to be real close either.

Reports are coming in the it was 2700 tons of ammonium nitrate. That's 5,950,000 lbs converted from metric tons. The Oklahoma City bombing used about 5000 lbs

Yep. Biggest problem I see with this story is it was stored. So, unless they happened to store it in a giant sealed vat of diesel fuel, it wouldn't just explode like that. It's one of the most stable explosive compound out there.

What's crazy is they knew it was there and that had been put there in 2014.

BBC had a story that indicated the storage area was located nearby the site of an assassination...with explosive. Makes me wonder.

    She ain't stock anymore.
Neglect can be a pretty powerful thing. I wanted to look into what is needed to detonate ammonium nitrate, but how the fuck are you supposed to look that up without ending up on a list. Just typing that on here has probably scored me some FBI points.

This is supposedly where it's been stored for the last 4 years, seems like an accident waiting to happen.

With all the research I did yesterday I'm sure I made the list. I'm also sure NSA and FBI have profilers that will look at all my other browsing data and cross me off that list. lol

What I find amazing is that the buildings on the other of the pier were eliminated even though the center structure still partially remains. I would have expected some of them to have remained as they were semi shielded from the blast.

I think that center structure was a grain silo. It's a fairly stout structure which sort of explains why the outer walls are gone but the inner structure remains.
