It is worse. The Saratoga Gap is a natural spot for all of the smoke to come through. Now, it's rolling over the hills farther north and a lot of it. Which makes a bit of sense as the onshore wind would blow it this way-which also means there's a possibility the fire will crest the hill. If that happens, that will be no good.

I like to hack and cough under mine and say loudly, "damn carona!" I get real distance from most. Some like me laugh.

F this ash. I hate smoke and ash. Its fuck me up for a while now. Although mosquitoes seem to be much less now.
This shit sucks, I have the Plumas County big 3 on all sides of where I'm working. Its like a war zone for real here.
I do love the sound of the 205s and 212s running all day. Its awesome!

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
He still has one. It's just not new.

Other of note, Travis just got evacuated.

Looking at the NASA map Ian shared, I was wondering about that. Damn. I would guess all planes were shuttled off to another field?

Damn just saw six tundies headed out from Drakesbad. All were nice and purdy and looked like tree stands in the back of all six.

That would be my guess. Similar protocol to what they have for hurricanes in the southeast.

Well just found out my MIL’s property just burnt down in Davenport. Lost the house that my FIL built and raised his kids at, where we do every holiday and all keepsake/memory items. Thankfully no one was up there and we are all safe but damn this sucks. 2020 can suck it!

Geez sorry man. I’ve just been hearing endless bad news this year.

High school friend just told me earlier today he lost his mom and uncle to covid.

Thank you Oakland Fire Department. Seems the sirens I heard tonight around 6 weren't police, but OFD. Brush fire down the hill at 580 and my freeway exit, Keller. There are open space areas, and the new development(in progress) at the old Oak Knoll Naval Hospital. Could have gotten ugly. They rated it a 5 alarm, and got many units to quickly douse the flames. I was a little worried thinking it was police, but can handle that kind of action. Thought about packing some things into the truck just looking at all the smoke to the south. Glad I didn't know it was a fire until it was over. Sketchy times.
