    It’s nice.
Before when I’d drive up 17 I’d have to downshift, keep the speed at about 45mph at 3500 RPMs.
Now it’s 55-60 at 2500-2700 RPMs and I can actually accelerate.

    That’s coming in December.
Edit: that’ll make a huge difference. I’m on 255 85 16 mid terrains with stock gearing...not very good.

Came across this guy at my dog’s favorite squirrel haunt a week or so ago

When I let the dog off leash she took off running down the levee like usual. Hawk chased her down and swooped on her back, it was pretty epic lol. Good thing she’s 50lbs not 5...

I always confuse sharp shinned and cooper's hawks. I need a pneumatic... I mean mnemonic device.

I always assume Coopers since they are more common. My problem is they move quickly so it’s hard for amateur like me to recognize differences. They almost never pose for pictures like that when I’m ready with camera. Does make me want to set up wildlife cam in back yard.

With the right education/reference, patience, and practice you can get their ID down. Here is a decent little article on it:

    https://www.birdwatching-bliss.com/coopers-hawk-sharp-shinned-hawk-id.html

The key to identifying Cooper’s hawks and sharp-shinned hawks is to remember that there is no single telltale characteristic that can identify either species. Instead, you need to consider several characteristics of the bird to decide which species it is.

So... my kid sent a connecting rod through his oil pan on the way home to Washington.

He has extended warranty... he is under the time frame and milage (beeeeeaaaarly)

Towed to Redding Toyota, waiting till tomorrow to find out if it's going to be covered.

If it's not covered... I guess I'll be motor swapping in a LKQ 1GRFE.

I think that goes well beyond my wheel house, and his budget.
