Husquvana makes good chain saws. I’ve still using the same Husquvana for nearly 30 years with no problems. Use it for general yard work and collecting firewood so doesn’t see much hard use and I make sure to drain gas after each use. Don’t know about service parts, never needed any.

I have a stihl 044 and I've never had any problems with it. Stihl definitely gets my vote.

I like my echo. And I think it works perfect for my uses. I’ve had it for several years with zero problems at all. With that said it’s mostly used camping. I recommend it to people all the time that will be using it for a similar purpose. Now it I had to cut quarts and quarts of wood every year, I would be looking a much better saw. But to recommend the best to someone that might only use it a handful of times IMO doesn’t make sense.

I have had better success with Stihl over husqavarna. Used to help with a tree company in HS. Which is we’re I learned a lot about saws.

This was the whole reason I went with an Echo. I don't need the saw I have but, I know that years from now, it will retain value and be repairable. Had the thing not any an issue, I'd probably still be using it. I don't think I used it more than two seasons before it was unrepairable.

I’m going on 5 years with mine. Not one issue. I also make a point to keep it maintained and in good running order. But I hear what you are saying. In general echo has a good reputation, at least from my research. But to each their own

Just to be clear, someone in the profession can be very biased. Example being my buddy that owns an automotive shop always recommends snap on, which I highly disagree is needed for the average diy car guy.

I love me some L&L every now and again. I pay and I forget the dude never asked my name and there were a bunch of people there. Couple minutes later, he calls my name ahead of everyone else. Man, I appreciate service like that.
