I think you gotta take into account the lowered activity level during the pandemic. Keep those walks up! But Jeez, that sounds absolutely horrible. Worse than the opposite.

Glad everything came out all right in the end.

I could show you a thing at that spot that would make you smile.

Woah. That sounded a bit provocative.
The thing I could shoe you is hiding there. Lets say that.

And a few made it a bit farther north. Two gentlemen and their families made their way to Anderson to pay us a visit. I still have a bottle if a great beverage I need to build things out of to enjoy with them.
Well one is close enough for me to make the drive the other will take a few days.
@Uphillshunter @Twizted , cheers to you both.

You know, better than the rest of us, that day was born in some tragedy.

But, that day goes down as a good day in my memories. That's a day I met good people, and we did good things.

It's strange how life works. My employer has his mother ill and doing very poorly. His wife now has three type of cancer and he wont leave the job. Grrrrr! I told him I will take care of work he just needs to be there for his wife and his mother and his 8 year old daughter. Myself and a coworker have a plan to go out and flag two logging jobs we have so they are done and then we called old loggers we know to help out. The old guys are doing boss work for free just to help myself and my buddy out so our boss can take off the time he should. He's really hard to make go do those things. Wife and I are doing dinner for them a few nights even though they are two hours away. Crazy assed life.

He won't get another chance and when they're gone, you don't get a do-over.

Trust me, nothing is worse than living with the regret you could have been there-you can tell him I said that.

And thank you for taking care of them.

Just what we do no need for thanking. I'd feel like shit if I couldn't help out even a little.
