That’s awesome. I was sorta surprised I was able to find Eagle Rare on my first day looking.

might have to keep an eye out for Blanton’s.

Talking about favorite bourbons is like talking about favorite scents of candles. Just freakin' light one already!

That said, if you like Bulleit bourbon, you might also enjoy Four Roses, regular test, at about $18. Both are good enough to drink straight or with a couple drops of water. I like Old Forrester, too, but it's very different.

You might also like Clyde Mays bourbon, at about $32, which has a similar profile but is noticeably smoother and "easier" to drink. If you'd rather go hotter at that price point, Elijah Craig regular is great.

IMO, these are high quality everyday bourbons. Stepping up $20 or so you get into the delicious Four Roses Small Batch and Four Roses Single Barrel, both of which are great. Yellowstone is very nice as well, with a little less caramel.

Blanton's and many other higher-end whiskeys are noticeably more complex. But to me they aren't necessarily more enjoyable. i save those for gifts and special occasions.

Looking forward to trying some of the stuff you guys have suggested!

Old Forester is a good one. I was lucky enough to score an Old Forester 150 Batch 1 from a member on here (Thank you!). No mention of age statement but in reading about it - they lost two bottles completely which tells me it's a good 18+ years old. IIRC, after about 23 years - you lose too much American whiskey to make it worth it. It's a warm one at 125.6 proof, has some really good dark fruity flavors and some brown sugar and caramel hints, but damn can you taste every bit of that high proof.
I've had a few other offerings from OF and am pretty happy with everything they have - their 86 is my go to for mixing.

Elijah Craig is great too, I really enjoy their toasted barrel and barrel strength offerings, been having a hard time finding their rye locally though. If you want hotter than EC but around the same price point, Larceny usually hits the spot for me - even though its only 92 proof.

My daily drinkers include Michter's American (or anything Michters, really), Eagle Rare, and John J Bowman Single Barrel. All three are great, not too terribly complex, and if you know where to look - easy to get.

100% agree on the more complex but not necessarily more enjoyable. For the longest time, I had that problem with Bookers - any of their releases. High proof - uncut and unfiltered. I'm now at the point where I can actually pull out some of the flavors and not just get a huge burn on taste and ethanol on the nose. And I quite enjoy their Country Ham release - I'm near the end of the bottle and not looking forward to that bottle kill.

    Nope.
Mine was make a set of barn doors and hang them. Then it was found out they are bastard sized to make a set or double doors. Well, custom set it is. Then the hardware hunt began. Hardware was a bitch to find so once it was all found and pieced together this was my final creation.
