    Best just to be patient and get your 50 posts in. The rules are there to prevent the forum from being spammed by those with no interest in making a contribution. If you’re sincere, then settle in and contribute.

    In my opinion sharing a deal like a $250 dollar set of wheels and tires is a contribution to the forum though, and as I have stated I'm not hawking my own stuff.

    If posting in the local deals threads with less than 50 posts is against the rules is a rule violation it should be in the BST rules thread. I've read them, I don't see anything that says you can't share deals that aren't yours. I'd probably have over 50 posts if my deals posts weren't deleted.

    If I joined and immediately posted 10 "deals" I could see that being suspicious or considered spamming but I joined a year ago as of yesterday and have mostly lurked and read.

    Let's keep this conversation going for 5 more posts and then you'll never have to worry about it again! :thumbsup:

    I selected no response on accident. That was my fault. Sorry.

    This needs to be in the right section, and all other rules apply in the BST rules for all sub forums.

    Why not start a FB Marketplace finds sharing thread in Northern CA? There’s a CL finds thread...

    You will have 50 post ASAP

    @tacomarin lol, THANKS!

    I love your truck, I messaged you on Instagram a few months ago about your experience keeping dogs comfortable while we are off mountain biking, thanks for taking the time to reply!

    I won't have much time between now and June (finally getting ready to complete my bachelors at 37) but I hope to get out and meet some fellow TacomaWorld members this summer.

    Here in NorCal we prefer to bury all the good deals deep into one thread so only the truly committed forum nerds see them! :D

    Happy to help! Congrats on getting your degree - never too late! Your timing is probably about right for hangouts anyway, especially with all the heavy mouth breathing that tends to happen when a bunch of Tacoma owners hang out.

    @tacomarin MAYBE by summer Shimano will actually have some brake parts available again and I can get all my bikes up and running again. Bike stuff has been even crazier in demand than Tacoma stuff and that's saying something!

    The bike market is super hot right now. Just picked up a new Trek Slash from my lbs, and they said they wouldn't have any more in stock until next year.

    I'm sure you have already, but keep an eye on Pink Bike Buy/Sell. I've had good luck there. But I've also had to scavenge parts off my hardtail for my new-to-me bike. Need to get some new pics w/the new wheels and crankset.

    Haha I had to get some full squish back in my life! The truth is I had a couple rides that beat me up so bad that I felt like it was medically warranted. I still have the hardtail but have loaned it to my brother currently while he waits for his SC Chameleon to come in. I haven't decided if I'm going to keep it yet or not. There's probably no better time to sell it than now. Right now the Norco is all I want to ride but having a hardtail in the quiver might be good to beat myself up on now and again.

    @Taco-Obsessed A general liberal arts degree was what I could get soonest based upon the credits I have from taking classes here and there over 15+ years. I work for OUSD providing special ed services to students with special needs and I'll enroll in an elementary teacher credential program next school year once I have the BA finished. I'm good with kids others often struggle with.

    @tacomarin definitely a good time to sell a bike right now, on the other hand, having a back up bike is nice and having a hardtail is nice if want to do any bikepacking.
