When you tile the window area, don't forget to slope the tiles into the shower so the water doesn't pool or get between the window and the wall.

 

Will definitely slope the tile.

 

It's a Schluter soap niche so sloping doesn't need to be steep. Between that and the red guard your golden.

I don't think the window will be much of a problem either though, with the red guard and the fact that it'll still be above the shower head. And I sealed all the gaps with thinset before the redguard.

25 years of building houses and dealing with warranty claims along with that... believe me, I know.

 

I lived in a condo for a while. Every unit in the stack I was in had the patio replaced and about a 1/3 of the way in to each unit all because the 4th floor unit patio leaked-poor workmanship. They had chosen to install a fairly new (at the time) product and not installed it properly and not allowed for the patios to drain properly.

Each of the four units required a 3 day period to repair. During the process, I learned how ineffective the HOA was. Never again.

 

Even though the bluetooth window was pretty cool for a couple days




I had to go back to the OEM window

Safelite glass or whatever wanted like $300 something to replace it. Amazon had the window for $50. Waited 2 days to get it in the mail. 3 screws and about 15 minutes and I had it done. Lol
