Actually I go to TJ’s for milk since it’s half the price of Safeway. But yeah, store to store prices are the same. They have to be because of the weekly ads they run. Gas prices vary daily and they never advertise the price system wide.

Something a lot of people don't realize. Milk prices are HIGHLY regulated. There wont be a big price difference between stores because there can't be.

Gas prices are also regulated, but not to the extent Milk prices are.

That too. Near home I’ll fill up when I’m near one my go to places but those close to the freeway locations take advantage of the lack of local knowledge to hammer anyone traveling along with those who stop without worrying about the cost.

It’s $1.19 a qt at TJ’s and over $2 a qt at Safeway and $2.50 at a convenience store. Where’s the regulation? It must be at the wholesale level.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I only buy a 1/2 gallon once every 2 weeks. And I get it from Bel Air every time. What would I know about milk prices?

Its funny, all the gas comes from the same pipelines and refineries. They each just have different tanks at the refinery where their detergent and additives get put in. Shell must put a LOT of BS in theirs. Chevron would be a close second in how much they charge over standard.

Again, GetUpside is a great ap. There is a reddit that has a handful of really good codes, even if you only use it a few times until the codes run out, you'll get a decent cut of cash back.

There are different tiers for different types of stores. But yes, it is at a wholesale level. All (nearly all) milk in CA goes into a "pool" and California dictates minimum costs for stores.

There is also a minimum price those stores can not sell under (again, at different tiers).

Example: I used to be a manger for Wal-Mart. The ONLY prices we could not change at store level were Milk and Prescription drugs. Our invoices for milk received also did not have a cost on them... (the only item in the store we did not know the cost of)
