Edited to state they were going west bound and I was going east

Went down to San Jose del Cabo Sunday through Wednesday for a much-needed vacation. Did a UTV* trail/tour at Rancho San Cristobal, north of Cabo San Lucas on Monday ("This trail normally takes two hours, but you two know what you're doing and drive really, really fast. That was a lot more fun for me than usual." - Tour Guide) and went marlin fishing with Daliken out of the SJdC Marina on Tuesday. Had fresh fish tacos and filets right after returning to the marina and brought another 15 pounds back in a cooler. Had a great time down there.

*I hate to say it, but these noisy things are a hell of a lot of fun to roast around in. Granted, I don't have to handle the maintenance or storage of a rental.

Definitely not bad for a four day. An early flight in and a late flight out really helps. And, San Jose del Cabo is pretty damn nice. The food is great (this ceviche/seafood spot called Aguamala is fucking killer - best octopus I've ever had) and there's nobody hounding you about weed, coke, Viagra, and tours like around the marina in Cabo San Lucas. Only knock on the trip is that the bank ATM I used straight-up ate my debit card (after giving me cash, at least), so I had to cancel it and am waiting for a replacement.

I stopped to see a friend and a car pulled up. In the trunk was a selection of pescado or chicken empanadas. Other goodies as well. The fish was very good. 10/10 would go out of my way to eat there again.

Spotted this nicely equipped Tacoma at Home Depot in Concord. Dude was super cool and we chatted for a minute.

Spotted this dude in line at Death Star near BAMF HQ. I bet there is gonna be a Pelfry HC up on the chopping block soon. The truck seemed nicely outfitted.

Crispy potato tacos. If you’ve never had them, they are legit. And those beans are made with lard. So you know, lard is love.

It’s like mashed potatoes in a tortilla then deep fried. Then all that cheese. Avocado and tomato for color.
