Everything that go possibly go wrong would. Saw one similar. All it took was a lane change, tire blow out, and ended up rolling over. Had to help on scene. It was a mess..

Anyone with a third gen willing to get a couple measurements for me? Short/long bed doesn’t matter.

Kind of a hassle, but if you don’t mind I need this measurement in the pic and then right above the utility rail things (which should be plastic) side to side for the width. I put a little red x for what I am talking about.

    Hopefully that makes sense.

Not sure I'm totally tracking. You're looking for a measurement from the bottom of the t-slot channel on the bed to the top of the bed rail? And another measurement across the width from bed rail to bed rail?

Yep. I know it sounds like a weird request but I don’t have the factory stuff anymore (fiberglass bedsides) so I can’t measure. I’m looking at maybe getting a shell which I’ll have to build a mount for. I’m wondering how far off from stock I am.

For the side to side measurement just somewhere above the utility rails and somewhere in the middle of the bed - not near the tailgate since it curves in there.

I would think your glass bedsides would be the correct dimension only because they hang on the composite bed. If the utility rail were off by much, a different length "J" hook would be all you needed? The "C" clamps are usually large enough to accommodate the difference. The shell sits on the bed edge and I would be more concerned about the edge to edge and front to back measurements. As long as the rail is there, you should be fine as that's how the shell is secured to the bed.

Yeah but there is the issue, we are just guessing. I have to build a platform for the shell to fit on since fiberglass won’t hold the shell and mine are way too wide for the shell to sit on.

The bedsides flare up some in the middle (not a lot - less than an inch) so I know some of the height isn’t the same.

On the outside, you'd want to be more concerned. For example, my SnugTop overlaps the bed rail by between a 1/4 and 1/2 inch.

    Good luck.

Yep. That’s designed into my platform thing.

We’ll see how it goes. If my bedsides are much higher than stock I’m going to have to cut that outer lip off. :sawzall:

Looks like there's going to be a Badlands version of the ProEagle jacks

I’ll be about and around in Santa Cruz on Friday and Saturday if you want to take more measurements. Mine is a 2022 Access cab with the 6’ bed for reference

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Was just going to post something about this.

Harbor Freight pretty much gives middle finger to Pro Eagle (good for them)

I'll probably be buying one of these soon lol

I might hit you up for it. There’s a chance I’ll be out town though. I’ll let you know.

Haha. No problem. I’m not in a huge rush and you are doing the favor. So I’m good whenever. :)
