A cop on a routine traffic stop was fired upon two blocks from my house in Milpitas this past tuesday at 2am in the morning. The cruiser was hit, but the officer wasn't. The officer returned fire, but the guy got away. At least four cruisers were chasing the suspect too. The guy ended up ditching the car a mile away and proceeded on foot away from the scene.

seems like it's not just oakland or san jose anymore, it's all over.

 

I got that sitting on the side saddle.

115 homicides in Oakland this year. The last 2 were 15 year old girls. killed at a park a couple miles away.

 

idkwtf is wrong with people but that shit has got to stop. San Jose is at 43 or 44, I can't remember. It's out of control.

 

earlier this year, I was with my gf as she drove down the street. We were on our way to dinner. I hear multiple gun shots, the car in front swerved crashed into another car. I tell her to drive faster to get out the line of fire. The two males in the car in front that crashed jump out and run away. I called it in to OPD. But just another one of the experiences of living in Oakland.

 

One of the reasons I often think of leaving CA. Senseless violence.

Indeed. But it's no secret that I'm not a fan of the political direction the state is taking either. Plus, I'm tired of paying and paying and not getting anything for it-OHV is just one example of the paying part. Or the debt the state is taking on all the while whining about not having money.

OPD's been on the verge of a Federal takeover for a while. I don't know what they think a takeover is going to accomplish though.

Why do some of you guys live in these places? I would never even drive through stockton man. Out here in Roseville is nice. I haven't heard a gunshot from my house since I moved here.
