I used to think that. But drugs make you feel better sooner and get you back on your feet.

I don't agree with what he did in his past but I'm positive it wasn't necessary to drag him through the muck in death. Especially since the manner of his death had nothing to do with his criminal history.

No, it wasn't necessary to do that, I agree. But when a name is posted, people are going to search it to find out who he is. And as you saw, three others had found info on him.

What I don't get is why he was going so fast when the freeway has hardly anyone on it at that time, and when traffic was already going at around 70mph.

They say he was in the far left lane (lane four) where I was, then quickly tried to move to the right lane, to lane two. How fast do you calculate he was going in order to embed himself into the metal door with the truck already going, say...70mph?

My co worker told me to google Mr. Hands. :pout: And yes, I did freak out. I thought it was about a guy who did the hand jive real fast or something. He tricked me. :(

idk. Several might have found out who he was but the paper could have left it out of the story as not being relevant. What is relevant is he's dead and he died in a traffic accident. I doubt they would have started the story "convicted felon ...".

I'm not gonna guess as to why he did what he did but it's not uncommon for riders to weave in and out of traffic to keep their speed up. Anyway, the roll-up is probably made of wood. I'd be willing to guess he was traveling at a high rate of speed in the #1 lane and decided to cut over to #3 or #4 and either didn't see or misjudged the speed of the truck. From the report, it sounds like he knew he was gonna hit the back of it. It wouldn't surprise me of he was doing more than 70.

I don't feel sorry for him. His poor choice lead to his demise. I feel sad for the guy he hit and for the family he left behind and for all of the people that had to witness that.

Finally got around to fixing my bikes oil pan issue. I stripped the threads like a moron by over tightening the bolt so I got a 14mm oversize drain plug. Put it in and then backed it back out, ran a bit of oil through it until the flakes of metal came out and tightened it back up. Good as new :D I haven't rode it in almost three months :O
