There's one of their own hunting them and they're families, I really can't blame them. But yes I feel bad, but i think the media is tying to hide this situation so we don't really see how frustrating this is

 

Also, not only was it dark, but one report said the truck was driving with it's lights off, and very slowly... Which isn't unheard of for newspaper delivery.

Also, I agree it's not an excuse, and fortunately those women are okay; but there's more to the situation than simply different trucks.

You're right. But imagine, there's a cop killer driving a foreign pickup truck that's blue or grey in color. This cop killer has a list of people he intends on killing.

You're guarding one of those people's homes. In the early morning hours, while still dark, a dark colored, foreign pickup truck, with no headlights on, cruises on the street and towards the house you're guarding very slowly...

What's happening is extremely fucked up. Not sure I could go to work daily knowing someone was actively hunting me. However, it does not excuse what happened to those two women in the story. Felony stop? Absolutely. Everyone walks away with a good laugh.

The good news is they'll be OK. So will the two officers.

 

it is not common sense to know which is which, but it is common sense to give warning(shots, siron, PA) and make sure the it is the right suspect (use the spot light to check truck color, plates ) before you pump it full of bullets.

 

Try to ID suspect, verbal warning, physical warning, shoot to wound.
