NorCal TW Hollister Day Trip: April 22nd 2012

Camping? I'm out. I'm already having a hard time trying to bargain getting ONE day off let alone two....

You guys have fun. I'll try to make the next run.

 

^ There's only a few of us that are maybe camping. You could still come the day of with everyone else...

 

I'm not camping Babytruck, I'm flying in, carpet bomb the joint for one day and I'm outta there

 

most of us are just going for day trip. They'll probably setup a new list/thread for those who are going to camp.

There's also a McDonalds inside the Walmart in case anyone wants to get grub. But McD breakfast usually gives me the shats, so no go for me lol

Last time we all convoyed down 880. The North Bay guys met up, drove down 101 and went on 80 in Richmond (and met the Sac guys around here), then hopped on 880. When they got close, the East Bay crew at Walmart hopped on the freeway and we met up on the freeway in the Fremont area IIRC. When we got near the Milpitas area, someone informed the South Bay group, and they hopped on the freeway and we all met up on 101. Then we had like 30 trucks taking over the freeway. shit was awesome!

Then we all stopped at the Safeway at Hollister before going into the gate. That Safeway had a bomb deli for grub and a gas station where most of us filled up. Then we finally went into the park (but then had to split up bc there was just too many of us)

more like, didn't know how to use my sliders yet. Jerry welded them on the week of the trip and I didnt really know how to use them.

that pic is of end of a u-turn. so i made the U, saw the big dip u see on the left, so i tried hugging the high road one the right. i ran out of room, stopped, then my ass slipped right into that dip.

 

Looks like im gonna have to come across on 92 to meet most of you guys to make the drive down.dont want to be the only one on 101 coming from SF.

 

I'm in SF too. We should roll down together. And and also figure out who else is coming from our direction.

 

you guys can either take the 92 across and meet the East Bay group in Union City, or you can take 101 all the way down and meet us in San Jose since we're gonna have to get on 101 anyway. We can give you the heads up when we're like in Milpitas then you guys can hop on the convoy then. Wait to see if any of the South Bay guys are going to meet up somewhere.

I'm coming from Novato & I think going SF is faster. I can meet anyone going that direction too.

 

Those are some killer pics! I'd be down soon as I do a Cab mount chop here in the future! Looks like a hoot! Thats a big A$$ 4runner in that pic.
