Overloader leaf. Wheelers has a 4+overloader that gives around 1.5-2" of lift.

They have a four leaf that doesn't lift, and a 5 leaf that does. It would be way cheaper to get these then toyota leafs. Plus they're better quality, toyota leafs are known to be weak and break. You can change leaf packs in the driveway too. It's not hard

If it makes you feel any better I loaded my frowning leafs up with 2000 lbs of rock. Was fine driving it to the landscape recycling place.

I commonly load it up with firewood every season. I also load it up with several hundred pounds of gear when I go wheeling/camping.

    All good.

    +1

Once your on the bump stops, the tire sidewall becomes your suspension.

Air bags are another option if you haul or tow alot.

I went with the regular. I don't plan on keeping them long so I went with the cheapest option.

Bullshit... show me sideways pic of your truck with 1 ton of anything on it on stock suspension & I'll show you a fool that tries to drive it, I've had a registered/scaled weight from 1340 lbs up to 1420 lbs on MODDed susp. , thats on 4 chevy springs & toyota main spring for a total of 5 springs & had a little ARC left was still sketchy to drive, finding it hard to believe you guys throw that kind of weight on it to come back & say "no problem"..

To me it's not that big of a deal to

    1. Take a picture of my truck when it's all loaded up

    and

    2. Prove anything on an internet forum.

I think I did post a picture, for laughs, of the scale receipt that showed it was 1950 pounds of landscaping rock/debris. But...

    3. I couldn't care less to go through my post history to find it.

I just purchased a 2014 double cab with trailer towing and off road package. The rear leaf springs are FLAT...from the factory. Is this normal?? Whats the best way to beef these up??

My leaf springs are as bad or worse than that and I have carried 600-approaching 700lb loads quite a few times, put a cap on in the winter and towed my small fiberglass boat around all summer. Not that I enjoy the flimsy Toyota springs, but they haven't busted yet! Probably get the Wheelers Off Road five pack before winter though...

I have a 2004 TRD (same color as the OPs) and my springs look the same. I have much less mileage on mine, but I use it a lot as a truck vice off roading. Over the last few months, i've had a lot of yard debris that I've loaded up and made the leaf springs frown. I also just picked up 12-80lb bags of concrete that made for an interesting drive home.
I'm tempted to have mine rebuilt or replaced if they are fatigued, but if this is the norm, then I'll put the money elsewhere.

Exactly, thank you. Its a pickup truck, treat it like one. You can put a cooler of beer in the bed, its not going to take you to court.

So I was going to post about my leaf springs but saw this thread was already up, I'm guessing mine are normal? The truck only has 45k miles, but it was used for gardening by the previous owner; judging by all the dirt/bark that was under the liner I'd say he used it quiet a bit for hauling. Just throwing up a picture of mine to make sure they're okay.
