Okay, I'm not going to just accept endless criticism and/or ridicule without a response. It's patently absurd to suggest my message was a criticism of all here. I don't know anyone here, so have absolutely no cause for any such criticism. However, I did read the first message in this thread, and, as clearly stated, the root of my original message was solely the content of that first message in this thread, not anyone nor anything else here.

Personally, I don't really care whether anyone drinks and/or cusses up a storm. I simply prefer activities where those things are not a significant part. Once again, the first message in this thread, sprinkled with profanities, in this public forum, seeking participation, suggested that would not be the case with this event.

I didn't create that impression. I simply responded to it. And, in response to it, my message expressed a desire (a public event for all without excessive foul language, etc), not a criticism. Only incredibly thin-skinned individuals would think otherwise.

Only an incredible asshole wouldn't realize when he is, in fact, being an asshole. You didn't have to say anything if you didn't think you'd like the meet.

Again, I say "whatever, dude." I'm now rather hoping you won't come.

Ah, further, if you really were interested in a wonderful event where nobody cursed or thought a bad thought in Utopia-land, you could just organize the thing yourself.

The event does not swear or whatever, the people at the event do. Therefore, if you're concerned about us all being uncouth miscreants (Hey, I just got to say that in everyday speech) you're necessarily reflecting on the attendees.

C'mon, slick, you're smarter than this. Your entire message and attitude reeks of feeling self-righteous and holier-than-thou, and surely you realize it. If you want to be better'n us, go ahead. But if you're so afraid to attend an event because of cursing, drinking, or whatever, surely you realize that no matter how the original phrasing is done, the attendees will dictate whether that happens or not. Even someone as obtuse as you seem to be must realize nothing good would come out of your own statement.

As the host (not the OP of the thread) of this meet, I felt your post pointedly questioned my respectablility and character. You judged my house and the people I invite there. Also since you believe that the environment that would be there would be inhospitable for you/your wife, you also placed a judgement on my character as a father and a husband whose wife and child would be there.

Let me show you a little better way that your post could have been worded.

(Hey guys, I am thinking about trying to come to the meet. I was also thinking about bringing my wife, but I'm not sure if that would be acceptable. From the first post, I'm not sure how much bad language and drinking might happen, and I'm trying to figure out if it would be better if she stayed at home.)

That accomplishes everything you seem to want to say without putting anyone under judgement and signifying that the first post is worded strongly for you. It also gives us the ability to explain what happens at our meets without you declaring that it is above your status.

Even in your last message, you are still negatively judging me saying that I am now an "incredibly thin-skinned individuals" because I do believe you were being critical of the environment where this meet was going to be held. I have yet to indicate anything negative about you and have not made any assumptions, only stated my opinion of your post.

Here in the internet world, your words are the only view we get of you until we meet you. I understand that your post might not have been meant to say what it said (to me and my friends seeing how everyone responded). You can see the exact reverse in your feelings toward the first post. You have not meet us and you don't understand the words that are on the first page the way we understand them. I am not counting you out yet. I don't want to "banish" you and I will still invite you to come and see what we have going on.

I would love to have a nice public show for our trucks. But we do not have enough active members that I think it would be worth while. To do something like that, it would require a bit of planning and publicity that I am not ready to commit to. If you would like to take the lead and open that as a discussion, you can easily create a thread or make the suggestion in the Alabama thread and help keep it on track. There are a lot of Tacoma's in North Alabama and I think with the right coordination, we could have a large turn out.

well jim you merely reacted the way that you truely are, no disrespect, i mean that you didnt try to respond a way taht another person would respond but merely how YOU would respond. you took up for yourself and others (whether you consider us friends or not is up to you to say not me) and i feel that that is admirable and honorable to a degree no matter how the demeaner comes across. so thank you for sticking up for the group. I just knew that if i started i wouldnt stop til someone was crying and i was laughing at their tears so i decided to keep my post short and sweet to try and not ruin the persona everyone already knows of me.

    Heck yeah buddy!

I'm talking about the 4" Front RCD Coilovers.. It has the "Factory setting, 1" setting, 2.5" setting, and the 4.5" setting.. DSM Sells them for the same price as the standard 5100's... $199!

Come on over bud! If it's too far of a drive to go there and back I have a couch available or apparently LifesaFlaw is posting up a room availability..

Hey buddy! You've said your piece we've said ours! Stop trying to get the last word in and keep bringing this up! As you could tell from as far back as you had to go to get that quote that we're over it! So drop it and attend if you want! Brian (TacoAlaMode) brings up a very good point on how to rephrase what you initially stated! So just to drop this and make everyone stop POOPING on this meet thread i fixed the OP for you! Just to show you (according to how Brian's rephrasing of what you initially said) that we are nice people and you should really give us a chance!

To support what I said before, I was the one who said it and no one else! Do not let what I said reflect on the entire group! You should have called ME and ONLY ME out from the start! You still would have gotten a similar response from others but not necessarily the way you got it! It would have been a bunch of LOL's, he's an idiot, or ignore him! To call me thin-skinned is exactly the opposite of that! That in itself shows that you don't hang around here often.. Heck, just before your original post it was all statements of how I resemble Justin Beiber and how I peep in windows and date rape fellow TW members! Is that really me!? NO! So you need to chill out and go with the flow sometimes! Heck if you would have showed up and realized that maybe this wasn't the environment for you, that would have at least saved face. It's not like its a FAR drive for you! MAX 30mins! That's getting from one side of Huntsville to the other! So it would have a no lose chance for you. Actually a lot more WIN.. You could have had one of us fix something on your truck or mod it in a certain way then left within an hour.. Instead you decided to publicly announce to the world you weren't coming in a negative demeanor! Like stated before, Dave brought his wife, another gentlemen (Can't remember his name off the top of my head) brought his wife and we acted accordingly! Good ole southern hospitality! When a women is present be a gentleman until she proves to you she's worse then a sailor... then join her!

Enough said i'm tired of rehashing this stupid argument! Show up if you want and Sorry you got offended!

    February 11, 2012!!!

Meet Location: Huntsville, AL @ Brian's (TacoAlaMode) house
    Time: 9:30am

We have to sided for this to be mostly a mod meet with possible off-roading.. The Birmingham guys are going to be setting up a Camp and Ride meet for sometime closer to Spring. That is going to be the LARGEST meet Alabama has ever had for Tacoma enthusiasts!

Things to expect at the meet...
SuthrnTaco07 - Too broke to do poop!
TacoAlaMode - Moving trailer hook up to rear bumper (So he says for the 4th time)
    jspadaro - Grill Master!
Some Jeep guys - Getting stuck (JK.. Cool guys!)
    lifesaflaw123 - Admiring Tacoma's
my08yoyo - (Confused by self conflict cause he owns an '11) Claiming he's a butt hole only to be a gigantic teddy bear
GaryRed - Correcting a lot the people who call him Gary
speedfreak - Making Paul cry just for showing up
DavTopgun - Thinking about adding more lights

That's all I have right now.. post up if you think you'll do something!

Mud Bogging, Good Eats, Friendly (yet sarcastic) atmosphere, Tacoma enthusiasts, GREAT time, OCCASIONAL good brews (and refreshments for the non-drinkers), active modding, and good tasteful music!

Last January after a few left and we went to BWW!!
