I did the dtrl mod. Took four wires and like 20 minutes

 

The lift looks great, but now I need bigger tires. And with bigger tires I'll need to regear, too. Going to have to wear out the current tires first. Waste of money to buy new tires, when I just bought new ones a couple months ago.

 

well look at it this way, at least you only have to re-gear one diff.

I just ran across a CL ad. This guy wants to trade his 35's on 6 lug Toyota wheels for 33's. Going to take a look after work. This may be my lucky day.

 

plus regearing is the perfect oppurtunity to lock it........... ya know what im sayin'

well some stuff you can get setup with the gears for very little extra, may look at eaton gears. they have electric lockers and detroit lockers that may be a little more reasonable than new gears and an arb setup.

 

Ill have to look into that.

My ass end vibrates at take off, and it's annoying.

For all the hassle, I'm considering going to bham sometime this week and get the drive shaft guy to just cut and make a solo drive shaft for me. It wasn't expensive when I went to have my k5 blazers front and rear drive shafts extended. And he did amazing work. Ill have to see if I can find the business card they gave me.

 

ive got a cb drop in my toolbox im not gonna use dave if you need it.

 

I too have a CB drop I'm not using. Free to good home at the meet.
