I'll go put the floor jack in the truck now and the battery on the charger.

edit: Truck is loaded, batteries are still charging.

Do you want to do all of it or just some of it now and the rest later?

In a way.. Yayy but in a way damn that sucks! Maybe it'll all work out for the better. Did you ask them how much this would effect you trade-in or sell value?

So started checking fitting on Paul's 285/65's on my truck with a 2" lift.

    Here is the overall look

Just to fit them turning stop to stop with no flex will require to cut the rear of the front fender flare like this.

And I believe I can move the front part of the inner fender like this.

I moved it in this picture, just didn't drill a hole and remount it.

I had to trim a bit more then that with 285's and 3" lift. If that's all you trim, they will scrub whenever you hit a bump while turning.

Yeah I'm pretty sure that will only be the beginning. I put my regular tires back on it for now and I'm going to look around at how much other's trimmed. I only mounted the one side and didn't take it out of the garage. No since flexing it any until I can at least drive it with no flex.

I trimmed a shit ton and still rubbed while off roading. I would hit the body mounts on the passenger side.

Not to mention you'll think you have all the rubbing cured and then out of nowhere it comes back

Springs settling I bet. How worn are these anyway? A new set would add some size. I do like the side bite tread on these.

One or two things modded... Check out the build thread
i read a very informative thread on here back when i first bought my tires, cant rem what it was called, but it was talking about how the overall fender opening of our trucks would only tuck a 265 and anything larger than that, even if trimmed for no rubbing would take away from the overall flexing ability of the truck because you would actually contact the fender if not rip it off if you suspension had enough flex or was rebounding quickly from a full droop (i.e. jim was driving your truck through whoops) just something to think about.

This is all the reason I went with 265s, and I think my fenders thanked me on that trip :-D

The thing about that is wouldn't the shock/spring keep it from travelling at some point? My lift actually comes from the coilover and if I pulled it, there is no lift. So cycling stop to stop would be like running it with no lift.

I agree that pulling the shock is a great way to test the clearance, just need to figure out how high it could go if the shock was in place to keep from cutting unnecessarily.

then leave the coilover in and throw a jack under your lca and try it?????? when the shock bottoms out and the truck lifts that is where it would bottom out regularly.
