That wrap turned out very nice and the color, of course, is spot on.

The cold has slowed me down a bunch. I'm pretty durable but cold sucks for the hands...ahahahaha. Finished up the plumbing for the air. Have the quick disconnect on each side of the truck through the access doors on the topper. Love it. Tank bracket is fab'd and compressor is mounted and wired. Had brain farts with the new switches but just installed a toggle to keep it simple.

LOL no. Close but I was a draftsman. (DM). I do a lot of sheet metal. I only have 24 I think. Most shops have several hundred. That's a lot.
    Thanks for watching

Okay, update time. Finished the air system with the exception of the pressure cutoff sensor (80-100 on-off). Also cleaned up the wiring. Air system works like a champ and have to chase a small leak. Installed the GMRS radio and antenna. Have not used it in real time but planning ahead this spring. Here is the pic dump. Ask some questions and enjoy.

Installed some lights in the rear for setting up camp, and another if the rear door is open. Like the idea but the door will be redone soon. Cheap, and not very secure.

Nice looking build and props on all the custom work.

Apologies if I missed this but where did you get your seat covers? No way do you have metal fab AND sewing skills

I can sew...ahahahahahhaha. Seriously, I am 64 and had a great mother. Every man should learn to sew and that will greatly improve your trim level. LOL. The seat covers are from 4wheelparts and are Smittybuilt. A little pricey but well worth it in my opinion. Thank you for looking and commenting. I really appreciate it.

Oh, on the sewing thing. Tell the wife or girlfriend "I'd like to sew some pockets on to some of your dresses"
You should get a really really good response. Ha!

Well it's been a while since I posted. Mostly little things to make life easier on the road. I've been out many many times since I've finished the topper and it's amazing. Have some leaks I'm chasing but all in all I'm very happy. Draws a lot of attention too. I've always been someone who wants different. And this is different. I'm going to do another post dump so if you have some questions, please ask.
    Thanks for watching.

Finished out the roof rack and added the antenna for the CB, GMRS and radio.

Built a checkbox to hold all the kitchen crap. Love this thing but I think its a little too big for just me to move in and out. LOL

Added the shovel mount and used it almost immediately when I found a metal fence post hidden where we were tossing a frisby...Amazingly handy to have to put out a fire also.

Then......bought a kayak...ahahahahaha. It's wonderful and I'm having a blast with it. Had to fab up some brackets for the rack. Kayak laying flat cuts off 80% of the solar panel and that sucks. I'm happy with the outcome tho.
    Zim

    IMG-1443.jpg

The "V" helps me position the kayak in the right attitude when pushing it up on the rack. Works perfectly. This was the second try tho. First one was total fail...lol
