Audio install isn't that hard. The only thing you, I'm assuming here, as newbie my need help with would be building a sub enclosure and even then if you have basic carpentry know-how, tools, and a little time should be able to build one.

Ok, price you pay when you assume things. Listening to sub's on a wall is pretty much pointless because you don't have the cabin gain of a truck in a room. For speakers just do what you're doing. I could recommend you some if you give a budget. Troll the A/V and see what other's are running or recommend.

Right now I'm deciding between Infinity's and Focals. I went to a shop today and listened to the Focals and was very impressed, but for some reason those and some kenwoods were the only speakers that they had hooked up. I'm going to another place in the next few days to listen to the memphis and hertz speakers. I don't know if they're comparable to the Focals or not, but Ill go check them out anyway. I still haven't found a place that carries infinity's around here, so I might just go with the other ones. As for subs, Ive pretty much decided to go with a 10" JL in this box, http://www.supercrewsound.com/05tacomadblsingle.html . But thats way down the road.

I am really happy with my Focals. I have their components in the front and coaxials in the rear hooked to an Alpine PDX-5.

Focal between the 2 that you heard. However if you've got the money to spend on some hertz they are great. I'm getting ready to put some Hi-Energies in my truck.

I think I heard those today too, they sound really clear. I'm not looking to spend that much money right now and those cheaper ones sound almost as good to me.

They used to cost a lot more but they are older models. I got them on black friday last year about $150 off both sets combined.

Then get 'em! In the end it only matter's what you think sounds best. Around 150-200 for a set of Hertz Deci or Energies.
