    My job requires me to inspect the underside of the various parts I machine. Always have between 5-20k danglin over my skullcap several times per week.

    Here is something similiar to what happened. It's a 7f unit that they are putting in the case. I machine 2 of the largest parts of this rotor assembly. The forward and aft stub shafts. I also paint each one of those individual wheels that have the blades sticking out of them.
    What happened last was they dropped the ENTIRE unit with the rotor (which they are installing in this pic) already in the case. The entire case with rotor i'm thinking weighs in the neighborhood of 40,000 lbs. I cant remember.
    Anyway from what I understand in this vid, a brake failed. What happened at work lastnite was that a cable actually snapped while they were lifting the almost completed unit to a final workstation.
