I can't wait to get the Subaru and take it on Fort Fisher in the sand. i saw one the other day that had BFG All Terrains on it,lol

Any recommendations for new rotors?

..current ones, EBC Ultimax Slotted Rotors, are warped within 10,000 miles..

 

I have a hunch if you go out on an open road/big empty parking lot and bed the brakes the shakes will lessen or be gone. I had gotten in my fiancés car and the brakes shook pretty bad because she was jabbing at the brakes instead of doing longer steady braking. She follows other cars pretty close. After a couple longer stops from different speeds the shake was gone.

Most of my driving is highway to work now, i've tried pressing hard on the brakes multiple times and the problem still persists.

 

It's not about the "emergency stop" pressure. You're trying to heat/scrap smooth, a full rotation or more, the pad material that is left on the rotor. Think riding your brakes, from 45-25mph for 30 secs, then 55-25mph for 45 seconds, along those lines. Worth a try

 

I'll give it a go after work. Appreciate it. Have any suggestions for rotors though? If the problem is still there.

Why the Hawk LTS pads? I bought the EBC greens stuff pads last time because they were supposed to not produce as much break dust.. i think they actually make more honestly.

 

Just the High Performance band wagon that I climbed onto. I haven't read up on them in a long time.

 

Oh gotcha, seems like a good combo. Hopefully it'll just be the rotors and I won't need new pads as well.

If the wrx had a large back seat and got decent mileage I'd do it and a heartbeat

 

Need to replace both cause if the rotors are warped then the pads are also going to be worn wrong. I went with cheapo O'Reilly stuff this time and they work just as good as my end combo... For $300 less hahaha but also do your brake fluid cause I changed mine recently and it was way past due
