I drive 5 hours each way from NC to the SOS shop and consider that right down the road considering most of the other vendors are west coast :)

I have used headstrong for all my suspension stuff but one, and the one time i didnt is because they referred me to another vendor who specialized in that item. Marie is good to work with over there at Headstrong and Roger knows his stuff in the technical department. Call em up or email them tell them what you want, they do sales, price match if you find it cheaper somewhere else. I have 0 complaints about them, nothing but praise. As for the install, where you at?? There are lots of guys on this forum and others who don't mind slapping the jack stands under your ride and getting their hands dirty. Set it up, feed em, even beer em afterwards... hell i'd show up for that myself :)

Im near the charlotte area! I would preferable like to go to a shop because if they mess up it's their mistake on their dollar! I would love to have one of my fellow tacoma world buddies do it, but don't wanna risk hurting my baby

Aside from the money, i must be honest i learned more about my truck when i had that fucker in pieces in the middle of the "Back woods chop shop" then i care to admit. You've got to start somewhere, i went from not being able to get that @#$%#$$ UCA bolt out to getting ready to weld on my own 63 swap in the span of 2 years. @wgreear Consider the first option there are some guys on here who would likely be doing the work for you over at 4wheel parts or some other mechanics place if they weren't doing it just to bring another tacoma guy into the fold or just turn wrenches for fun and stress relief like me lol.

Yeah I understand! I probably just need to a lot more research than i have. I really would like to learn, but time is the main component. between 2 jobs, classes, and working on getting into PT school its hard to find time to dedicate to myself! Also @mrbedgood just check out your build...holy sexy!

Yep his truck is sick. Ask him how many of those parts he got put on @ 4wheel parts. I feel you on the time man, Wife, 2kids, full time job, school. Who needs sleep, you can sleep when you're dead.

@wgreear we feel ya brother. Trust me I do. I love working on my truck. Granted there are some things I just take it to Toyota to do but very few. Yes sometimes it depends on time and stuff. I went to school for automotive and worked as a service writer for Toyota for awhile. It's a fun hobby for me.

I've had to balance a marriage, two deployments, my national guard job, soon two other part time jobs until I get a full guard job or get into BLET, oh and grad school. So yea we know. You just got to get out there and learn.

Thank you and @Carrionman for the compliment. She's a work in progress. Just purchased new King rear shocks today. Going with a shock relocation kit and 2.0"x12" King shocks. Going to do away with OE mounts and my new 2.5" kings (yes new, decided to go the new way after I put them on). To answer the question, I've only let 4 wheel parts touch my truck for mounting new wheels and tires, that's it.

Would love to talk shop one day soon, relocated the upper and lower mounts via SOS offroad concepts and running 14 inch stroke kings out back, about to swap out saggy dakars for chevy 63's myself. I'll be in touch once i get done with summer swim team for the kids, school for me ends in august. We will have to get you up to Uwharrie for a weekend trip too.
