    Anyone going over to Portsmouth Island 7/28-31? We'll be with daughter, grand daughter, SIL and possibly other grandparents so have a cabin rather than tenting this time. Plan to go up to the Village at least once and its always good to have another vehicle along when crossing the swash there.

    Portsmouth Island is definitely the best free public beach camping on the east coast. I'm afraid it won't remain that way much longer - had to get a sticker when we were there earlier this month. Free this time but I think its an omen of things to come.

    Just me and the missus without another soul in sight.
