I almost said you might even consider doing the emblem in blue. That would definitely match the shields then.

Yea use plasti dip, spray a few coats and that stuff peels off from where you don't want it.

I blacked out the "ECU" on my front license plate with it. It was purple but looked pink in the daylight.

yea if you tape anything off, take the tape off right after your last coat while its still wet. that keeps the tape from grabbing the paint and peeling it. I just took everything off my bumper when i did mine to make it easier.

Are you at ecu now? if your around town we could meet up

Awesome job on a killer retrofit,

I actually called TRS this morning about what costs would be to retrofit my Tacoma lights,

I may just put some HIDs in my Hellas first and see how they look.

I had 10k HIDS before. They were alright. Looked good but didn't put out a lot of light. The projectors are amazing man

Yeah, the letters are depressed into the plate instead of being flush.

Just mask off from overspray, and spray a few coats. It peels of like a thin sheet of rubber and if there are any sharp edges or a thin gap between to things, you can peel it off and it wont pull up whats on the other side of that edge/gap.

Removing the grill and masking the center portion off would make things many times easier, and it will give you nice matte black finish. It is somewhat durable but easily peels off if you want it to.

Edit: also I got impatient and only did like 1 coat on that plate because I wanted to see the results and knew it was easy to redo. It is still perfectly intact so with a few coats you should be good to go.

Just went to get my truck inspected because I got pulled over and ticketed yesterday before class.. apparently my tags have been out of date for 2 months.

Well, my taillights failed the inspection.

Is there anyone around Greenville that will swap their taillights with mine so I can run it up there and get it to pass without having to spend $100 for a new set that I won't use?

Please? I can come to your house and everything. Today would be great, let me know.

    Thanks!

did they fail them because you tinted them? Im tempted to derp my taillight, but i saw a guy who paint matched his and that was awesome, still light enough to see the lights but away from them it looked like he had no tail light.

i might try to color match it, several light coats and lots of wet sanding but should be fun, just need to go by napa to get the paint and then get some time off work, probably wait till Nov. when the hummidity isnt as bad. I've just never seen them fail someone for tinted tails
