You going up to Boston? I may be at some point, depending on when krystle comes down for a visit. She's thinking the first weekend in Nov.

IF, and that's a big if, I go up and drive, I have no issue with going up for interest. You've certainly helped me out a few times.

I may fly, just quicker and easier.

    A thing or two...
The Pelfreybilt aluminum bumper is $1700 with powder coat, not including shipping. Baja Design lights are expensive. The Squadron R lights are $230 for the pair and the 20" light bar is around $700 or more depending on the model.

That's absurd to me. Actually I don't know what's worse, the price of the bumper or the price of that light bar (when new). I can't believe people actually pay that much for a freaking light bar. Blows my mind

Quality products are worth it. Buy once, cry once. There's something to be said about a product with a money back satisfaction guarantee and a lifetime warranty.

and that's where you've been brainwashed... buy once cry once? I can buy that for certain things. I don't want shitty brakes or a shitty suspension. I'm not sure what these lights go for, nor do I care, but let's use your example of a 20" light bar for 700$ "or more depending on the model". Realistically, how long do you plan on owning that truck? say 7 years? thats $100 per year for that light bar. quality product, maybe. I'm not trying to take anything away from Baja on the quality. Lifetime warranty? who gives a crap. buy a $50 light bar. do you think a $50 bar will last more than one year? I think so. for shits and giggles, say it lasts one year then conks out for whatever reason. and every one purchased after that will conk out after one year. you've effectively cut the price of the one baja light in half and have a nice shiny and new light every year. and don't tell me you wouldn't change it every year. people are fanatical about their trucks and would probably ENJOY changing it. I would, I'm an electrician though.

now if Baja were to cut their prices by 50% and kept the same quality and "who gives a shit lifetime guarantee" I can bet you dollars to donuts that they will vastly increase their profits and sell way more light bars. leading to better R&D, leading to even better quality and better who gives a shit warranties.

I don't know just my two cents. I agree with you on part of it, but then again, not so much. finally got home though and when I started typing this out, my fingers kept talking hahaha.

I was just talking about this with a coworker he asked me about my light bar. I told him the cheep one on Amazon after looking up the prices of all the other ones. To add to you point how often are you using the light bar maybe a total of 5 hours a year???
