    Well, I have a long bed and would like the rack to be all of it.

    I like cheap. I'm not as rich as some of these guys on here.

    Yea, just high enough to clear the rolled up tonneau. Or as high as it takes to keep the top of the RTT level (or a little higher) than Plano storage cases mounted to a Prinsu type rack (ultimate,down the road plans).

    Whoa! That's up there! Might be too tall for my needs. I also have a height restriction I have to stay under for the parking garage at work.


    Ultimately though, I'm going to need something. I don't mind bolting it to the top of the bedsides. That's the only alternative with keeping the tonneau.

    All they had were the full bumpers and I can get cheaper sliders from SOS. Thought about the hidden winch mount but I don’t think it comes with recovery points.

    Yea, that's the idea. Then when I add the Prinsu with a wind deflector it should direct air over the tent.

    It's a Bak Revolver X2. I haven't measured but I'm guessing there is about a 3" wide area remaining on the top of the bedsides for flat feet on the ends of tubes that could be bolted right through the plastic caps and all. Trusses on the feet would add some support there, and more at the top of the bars would help prevent spread. I'd likely add some bed supports too.
