yes its just that the reg cab back is more vertical and the access/double cab has more of a slope. (i think either work but the lines just dont look as good)

There are 3 caps availble for a 2nd gen tacoma.
Regular cab long bed- fits the DC obviously, but can be put on a DCLB as well, but leaves a large gap between the cab and cap.
DCLB/ACLB- have heard reports of these rubbing on the back of the regular cans as they are not tapered in like a dclb.
    DCSB- only the dcsb

Here is a CAP from a reg CAB on a dclb notice the slight gap at the top where the cab and cap meet at the top.

    Hello feller taco owners!

Currently looking for a 2009 driver side door. I found one in Binghamton NY but looks like the post was recently deleted.

I found a gash on the bottom of my door and I just think it'll be easier/cheaper? to replace th door than repair it. I thought it was repaired at some point and the weather just was too much for it this time around. :fingerscrossed:

    Thanks in advance.

Thank you Emmett! I'm probably going to have to order a cap new. The chances of finding what I want are slim to none.

Oh yea! I see that now! Thanks Jerry.

I'm going to get in touch with Leer and A.R.E. eventually. I like the A.R.E. MX but it looks like the raised area is shorter (front to back) than the Leer 180. I don't know how important that is from the inside trying to max out the headroom and overall capacity, but the Leer looks better on a long bed double cab. The thing is, I'm not sure which provides more headroom height. Why I'm contacting them. I also want to know if the "radius" side window option on the Leer which is a windoor option, also comes vented like the A.R.E.

Sorry for the thread jack but there are a lot of more knowledgeable and responsive people here than in other threads.

I posted those question there about a week ago. Crickets. Didn't want to throw any thread under the bus in my post above but.......

I found another thread they were talking heights but it was all inside dimensions. I don't want to guess the thickness or any slopes. I have exactly 6'-7" clearance for my garage opening. So I need to know how tall each of those caps are, and what kind of tracks I can have mounted, then ultimately what kind of cross bars so I can spec the height mounted. I'd like to have a canopy mounted on one side and a DIY water port on the other.
