I was thinking of heading up that weekend and camping and possibly going mountain biking if anyone is interested. I'm driving up from Buckhead (atlanta).
My girl is coming up too to wheel with us. (got her into camping and biking this year)

    group camping and cooking anyone?

I've posted this a couple times here and the other GA thread. THere's another longer off road road/trail that i've mapped out. Its roughly 26 miles one way, turn around and come back. It goes north past the border and a little east. Then you can come back down.

The only thing though is that location is about 20 minutes west of the original road/trail we were gonna hit up. They should be similar in terms of driving conditions but the other one is a little longer. I'm planning on going up there once anyways, was thinking of going Saturday or Sunday just to try it out. If anyone's interested in going with me (caravaning up) or just wants to ride up with me, let me know.

EDIT: This was the trail I've been talking about. The part where it ends, apparently it keeps going but its a "un documented" trail and connects to Forest Service Road 22-2.

just looked and maybe riding along Bear Creek in Ellijay, would prob run through your place and grab groceries for the weekend before the trail run.

Hoping to get a few more people on board.
not sure how many folks mountain bike on here, but we'll be camping as well coming up friday evening possibly.

Yea I think that would be cool If some FJ's came out also, more people the better!

With as many people coming and it looks like it will Probally have more added to the list I think it would be nice to maybe have another road, possibly the one trance porter is talking about, as another option for more driving time and possibly more "off road terrain" than just a gravel road for people that want to test/play with the trucks more. (or just get dirty, cause a dirty truck always looks good :) )

For the food, I would hate for it to only be one person having to cook for everyone, so maybe if we did find like a camp site or park with some outdoor grills, then if everyone brought some food them maybe multiple people could grill out.

Just trying to throw some ideas out, but regardless it looks like we have a good group and it will be a good time!

So you said you know of somewhere to grill. Where would that be and would it be cool if we rolled in there possibly 20+ deep.

I don't think it will be a problem to bring it. Since we won't be really off roading per say I don't see it getting hung up on anything. I'll throw it on there for ya to see.
