You could use those steps as sliders?

Would prefer not to. Was hoping to order some sliders soon but just found out we are expecting our 2nd child so now we are saving up for a 4Runner for my wife! I guess we'll see how bad the trail is.
On a side note, I did see on Bell mtn Facebook page that they might start working on the road soon to improve it.

    @jazzbone96

If you're planing in getting sliders I'd just "use" the steps as a slider just for this trail. I'd rather have those messed up than the rocker panel. Worst comes to worst they get torn up and you just take them off :notsure:

So we're about 1.5 weeks out, lets go ahead and nail down some trails. I say we start by removing trails we do not or cannot do:

Currently the only two trucks who are slightly nervous about bell mountain are me and @jazzbone96. We can run this one on Sunday that way if more people show up not wanting to do it then they can head home or just part way up.

Here's an outline of what I think we do:

    Friday Night:
    - Camp at Hawk Mountain / Dawson Forrest and let everyone roll in.

    Saturday Morning:
    -Amicalola Falls
    -Sheep Wallow
    - Appalachian blue Ridge Rd (forest rd but could be fun)
    -Flatlands Trail
    -Camp at Trey Mountain.

    Sunday
    - DIck's Creek
    - Charlies Creek
    - Bell Mountain

That's a good plan! We get to hit basically all the trails and then if people don't wanna hit Bell they can leave. If people aren't camping Friday night we can meet up at Amicalola Falls once we find an actual address of the trails

Anyone have coordinates for Dick's Creek? I'll be there Saturday but not Sunday and would really like to take that trail. Also what is the Amicalola Falls trail? Is that High Shoals Rd from Nimblewill Gap Road?

Edit: Nevermind. It's FS 46 that runs from Nimblewill Gap and comes out on top of Amicalola Falls

    You wouldn't happen to know
Here is a map we've been collecting: https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?mid=zqjszsQnr-kE.kv4FKzlIaB5s

Most items are labeled, the lines in green are ones we copied from the 4runner guys.

Thanks! The Amicalola Falls trail is what I was thinking. Great trail and if nobody want to go through the big ass mudhole at the top, there is a trail that cuts around it. I'm definitely looking forward to this trip and meeting you guys!

Sweet! Do you know where the trails start? I haven't found anything except that lodge.

The best way is taking Nimblewill Gap from Jones creek to the top where it forks off and becomes Old Bucktown (which is a narly road unless they fixed it.) At that fork is FS 46 or what you are calling Amicalola Falls. If you start from that point you won't have to pay going into the state park of Amicalola Falls. @Lurp would probably know more about it.

1st half looks good. And we can just skip Amicalola Falls and try it another time. Saturday is going to be a full day anyways.

The 2nd half we should camp on the Chimney Mountain side and go up Tray then turn around and go back down the same way to get to Dick's Creek. Then from Dicks Creek we go to Charlies and leave from there or hit Bell

That looks good. Not sure where Dick's Creek ends, on one map it goes out to HWY 76. But I don't see an actual road. But if we do find that it goes all the way to 76 we'll head up north then go right to Charlie's. Then back track to Bell.

Uh I'd say possibly Trey or on our way to Trey depending on what time we roll out. I'll be giving my number out to people and letting them know where we are heading and what not. Probably in a group chat so others can organize and meet up

Yeah, I saw that map and also read someone saying it has a gate at the end. So we'll just have to get out there and see.
