I am still game. Blake can ride shotgun with me. I just request for me to do a big frothy burnout and some donuts in his new rig.

Just be sure to get it on video. I expect it to look something like the burnout Tanner Faust did on top gear with that F450. If you have not seen it look it up.

Yeah, just like that. Or nothing at all. If it can't do a burnout like that, we'll just have to burn it to the ground!

Received my CB radio today. Now I need to order the fan clutch.

So now we are up to:

    Brian +1
    Zech +2
    Bob - maybe
    Robert - maybe
    Blake - needs a seat
    Jeff

    Out:

I see how it is. You single me out for flaking. I will be having a good time smoking some briskets and fishing.

Wish I could say yes; but I'm sure you'll be in the majority before the 15th gets here. Always seems to happen that way.

Yep; my rig will have to break down before I don't go. Megan took the day off of work to go; so I better have a really really good reason to not go. lol

Did you trailer your runner up here last weekend?

How do you tie it down? Chains or straps?

Yeah, I always trailer it now. The Tacoma is a lot more comfortable to spend an hour and a half in when getting to Bridgeport.

I currently chain it down; but I'm hoping to get some heavy straps for it. Good ratcheting straps are easier and you don't have to screw around with the binders. Figure I'll get four straps and do an X front and back like it was heavy equipment.

I would be worried about the gear cogs slipping on the come-along over time with all the road vibrations.

Yeah, I try to not use something in a position outside of it's intended use if I don't have to. The comealong is great for static loads; but the bouncing and jolting while hauling probably pushes the limits of the cheap comealongs I keep around.

I got invited to Bridgeport tomorrow with some built Heep guys, and to Tolar again on the 30th. This may be a busy month.

LOL; yeah, sounds like you are going to have the rig builtproof before the month is over.

Except I didn't get a trailer today. And I dropped insurance on it. Drive it uninsured? Hmm...
