As many have said thank you @Thatbassguy, @ajmogen, and @deekyn for setting up, scouting and leading this trip.

Glad I was able to take one for the team and give us at least a little excitement, no damage done. Thank you for @Peeing on Jeeps for the pull and expert advise.

I had a great time, learned things, and really learned how great these trucks are (something our buddy in the F150 should have realized).
One of the things through the night I heard guys saying is they couldn't believe what their trucks could do even just at stock height or stock tires.
Anyone who has been saying I would love to go but my truck doesn't have "this or that" it probably isn't true. Getting out and taking these trucks for a drive down some muddy or rocky roads and challenging yourself gives you one thing you can't buy, confidence. I believe everyone who came this weekend definitely left with more confidence in themselves and their trucks no matter how much experience they already had.

Looking forward to the next time.

    Jim

    Very well said!

And, I almost forgot about Drunky McFordboy! That guy seemed nice enough at first, but quickly became a nuisance! Thank God we finally got past him!

Yup! Just like going down that last section! No pics of the first few trucks going down. I have a dash cam video, though. Someday when I feel like dicking around with YouTube, maybe I'll post it there. Or, maybe I'll try to figure out how to do one of those sharing things, if I can figure it out!

Thanks all for the fun trip! I had a great time drinking beers, playing in the puddles:mudding:, and driving through the woods.

I had a great time with you guys and learned a lot. I’m glad I got to spot and show a few guys that their truck can do more than they thought.

Looking forward to more trips like this!

(I have already purchased a cb radio!)

Yeah, but I'm pretty used to it. Just sprinkle in a few seashells for the full look.

I think the only time I lost traction was pulling into the deep sand when we first arrived. And when I hit a puddle too fast and hydroplaned. Most of the trail can be done in 2H. I tend to use 4LO in the tighter, rocky areas to make it easier to go slow.

In 4LO with the transmission in S1, I barely had to brake on the last descent.

I watched back my dash video and laughed at myself. After finishing the final descent- "Holy bloody hell... Fuckin' A this truck is amazing!"

Hey @Peeing on Jeeps what kind of come along, chain, strap setup did you have? I never got a close look at it and how it all worked together. I need to add this to my tool bag and know how to use it.

That looks like a good kit! I like the stakes as a ground anchor. I watched a series about off-roading and they needed a similar tool several times.

I have a high lift on my roof, and I hope I never need it!

How the hell did you keep the tailgate clean??
