It was a solid 10 hours for us from Waco running the speed limit.

I see what you did there...

So which route is everyone taking to get there.

I was looking at going through DFW and then camping in Abilene at the State Park and then finishing the drive from there.

I will be leaving Wed right after work, so only want to drive about 5 hours or so and then camp the night and continue in the morning.

I will be driving to San Antonio Tuesday after work. I will leave probably around 5am Thursday morning and get to BB around 11am or so.

I'll be lagging behind to get one more night's sleep in a bed and a shower. Hoping to head out from my place in Irving right around 4am Thursday. Might meet up with @Geremy in Grapevine if he's looking to leave at the same time.

From Abilene to BBNP is about 5 hours or so, so if we want to get to BBNP around 11am or so, would need to leave Abilene at 5am somehow.

May look at trying to head out of Tyler a little earlier and getting a little farther now.

Which route are you planning on taking? I am doing the I20 to 385 route, so could possibly meet up with people if they are taking the same way.

That would most likely be my route. Seems like I remember another route through Stephenville but will go whichever route allows me to convoy with others.

Well let me know about what time you think you would be coming through Abilene and maybe I can meet up with y'all!

I would like to get to BBNP around 11/11:30am or so Thursday.

Traffic and the view is a lot better if you take US 190 out to Iraan then pick up I-10. Get off of I-10 in Fort Stockton and head South on 385 through Marathon.
The Chile Verde Burritos at the Alon gas station in Marathon are were it is at. You also can't buy Red Bull any where in the park so stock up at the Alon or Loves if you want any while you are there.

Stillwells camp ground sucks and has no cell signal so don't even waste the time to drive out there. If you are going to camp outside of the park make sure you camp in Terlingua at the first place on the right as you head out of the park on the west entrance.
