Need to check, I'm not 100% sure they are permitted out in the backcountry.

NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!! I dont want to have to drive my truck off a cliff into the Rio!!
I will have my pistol out there you know..... i dont want to have to shoot any ipods but i will!
Dude i like Gojira! I was jamming their new album a few months back.
Well the group is getting pretty big, it becoming a challenge to find spots big enough for the group we have.

After all the research i have done i think that 2-3 vehicles would be best for being able to fit into most of the campsites. From Google Maps satellite photos some of the spots can fit more than they say, but if we dont get those spots then we need to have backups.

If anyone has any suggestions for large camping spots let me know. Right now i have this for the campsite order...

    • Terlingua Abajo (may need to get all 3 here) - Talley #3&4
    • Talley - Glenn Springs #1
    • Glenn Springs - where ever the hell you came from
    Could also be if needed....

    • Grapevine Hills 4&5 - Terlingua Abajo #1,2,&3
    • Terlingua Abajo - Glenn Springs #1
    • Glenn Springs - where ever the hell you came from

Well i was asking because we maybe able to use it for lights at night or something. We have a pretty big group and it would save on battery power, so it might work out if you bring it. I have a couple ryobi LED work lights that are great for lighting up the camp site.

I was also thinking that i would bring my tarp and we can stretch it out and attach it to roof racks/ bed racks so that we will have some shade to sit under, or if it rains... its 10'x20' if i remember correctly but we can always fold it if it needs to be smaller. Also could use it as a wind block if needed.

I have plenty of camp lights between the 20ft Luminoodle and the smaller 10ft luminoodle.

I am not worried about battery power, the 20ft barely draws and the 10ft uses a usb battery pack.

Zach y'all also need to remember that the camp sites are first come first serve. No reservations for them you will need to get to the permit office early and wait in line for a permit. Get in there and grab a number. They have the available sites projected on the wall in real time so you can see what is open for permit. Usually 2-3 girls in there doing the permitting.

These cheep LED lanterns from Walmart work great for camp lights. I have several of them put in fresh batteries before we left and left them on all night every night. They are all still good to go.IMG_3290.jpgIMG_3291.jpg

Since I have never done this before... is this permit per person?
