NORTH TEXAS MISFIT TACOS: BBNP trip April 6-9 2017

Damn it!!!! you cant have anything in the back country! No fires, No dogs, no bikes, wtf???

On the site it says that after April 15th or somthing like that the sites can not be reserved. Or maybe that isnt for the back country camping....

I may pick up a few. I am normally good with just a head lamp but when you are cooking and what not sometimes i want a bit more light.

 

Permits are per site. You must list all vehicles that will be at the site. Make, model, color and plate number.

The trip leader will be issued a permit like this one. It must be displayed in the drivers side dash at all times.

 

Can't burn anything other than propane without a permit. I.e. Charcoal.

Dude is going have to sit this one out. I wanted to bring Diesel Dog but couldn't because of the rules.

Backcountry has its own set of rules the reservation sites are the RV hook up sites.

This is the darkest place you will find in the lower 48 without going under ground. You are gonna want some extra light.

I'm gonna be making a video about the trip so I'll be shooting pictures and videos almost the whole time and drone videos

 

Also, if anyone else is planning on filming, mind if I use some of y'all s content?

 

I think it's been mentioned before, but drones are technically illegal in the National Park.

I'll probably be taking lots of pictures and some GoPro videos. I'll upload and post links for all once we get back.

 

Yeah but i figure all the stars would light up the ground pretty decently, either way i will bring an extra lamp or 2.

Drones are not allowed as they apparently mess with birds and wildlife within the park. But i will also be taking lots of pictures and will probably have my GoPro mounted.

I will create a google share folder, put all my photos and videos in it and share it with the group.

 

Yep Drones are a no go, leaving mine at home just to be safe.

 

I'm using the drone before we get into the park and while traveling around there. Not using in the park

 

Oh well that would be cool. I still think you should fly it in the park! I didnt see it on the list of rules @RedBeard1 posted so we can claim ignorance and claim they need an updated rules list!

I will just have my phone. Not going to get a DSLR before the trip. However, will have some gear that I may need some good shots of... ha.

 

Everyone make sure you check your vehicle before the trip. Here is a list of things that i will check before i leave the house.

 

I will be the guy trying to take photos at weird angles! Most of the time i just end up with a bunch or crappy photos! haha

Most of the "on the road" photos will probably be taken on my phone also, when we stop i will bust out the real camera.

Still waiting to hear from the boss if I get the time off but I got this 2200w inverter stashed behind the seat next best thing to a generator and runs off my 2nd battery
