I have to say I had a ton of fun on the trip and I am already thinking of when to go back and spend a few more days there hiking in the Chisos. May try and possibly do a winter trip down there or just another Spring Trip maybe in March or something.

Already thinking about getting an ARB fridge and possible a RTT to go over the cab, but one of those low profile ones... This was a good trip to figure out a couple things for the truck for when I go to Moab in October.

@ETXTacoma Big Bend is a pretty good shake down run for just about any where. Helped me figure out my rear springs were definitely my issue with my truck. I have bandaided them with an add-a-leaf till I can get a full suspension kit on the truck. Gonna give the warranty a little longer before I make the swap though.

A spring trip out there next year sounds like a good deal to me.
Wish I could have made my dates line up with y'alls trip this year but we had a schedule to meet.

Truck did great! Took everything like a champ - and allowed for some faster blasting through the desert. Love the OME setup.

Great to hear! Figured it would be a good improvement and easy to compare to when you were stock at BB last time. I'm looking forward to testing mine out offroad soon.

May I ask witch springs & struts you went with in the front with your OME kit?

Of course, I have the nitro charger sports 9000 with the 886 coils along with the Dakar leaf pack in the rear. Plan is to add a bumper winch very soon.

@Geremy owner of the silver 3rd gen that went with y'all. You need to keep an eye on your left front tire it has signs of belt separation. You can see the depressions in the side wall at roughly 5 and 10 o'clock. Nothing to get alarmed about just watch for bulges in the tread face around those areas and any vibration from that tire.IMG_3334.jpg

I worked as a roadtech for Goodyear doing industrial and heavy truck tires for a while. I have seen this multiple times in lower ply tires. Sometimes it is a non issue other times it can cause problems.
