There will be one next year. I want to go back, spend one extra full day there and do a lot more hiking than we did this trip.

So there will be a trip next year for me at least. Unless there is enough interest to start up another group thread.

Managed to get it on there. Not super secure, but I'll try some different velcro when it comes in. Hopefully more patches to come.

    Did this today.

Not a bad way to remember the trip I guess.

I think I am going to start collecting postcards from places I visit, usually great artwork on them, very cheap, and easy to find at most places.

Throw them in a simple $5.00 frame and boom, easy way to remember a trip and the travels.

Nicely done man. I think its a great ideal but too large for me to do. I'd have a full wall in 2 years if all my plans for trips work out! Maybe I can cut it down to a single postcard per place and multiple places in each frame to cut down on wall space.

Yep, I have a wall in my room that I hang this type of stuff, so it works pretty well.

Yea, that would fill up quick. So mainly going to use this for like events or bigger trips. Also thought about doing like a bigger picture frame that can hold multiple and then adding them as I go.

Bigger frame sounds like a good ideal. I'll start it with Jambo or my AZ trip for Overland Expo since I dont have anything from my previous trips. I'll just have to go back to BBNP to pick something up sometime this year. Gotta have something to remind me of my first trip after buying the truck so I'll just go back to CO and UT! I was already planning on making all those trips again this year so it works out.

Going to see how much it would be and it it would work with postcards, but one of those big collage frames may work pretty well. Would be pretty cool I think.

I'll start looking more into it once I can start gathering up post cards or really anything to show my destinations. I will probably start with a small frame like what you did and then as it gets full move it to a larger frame when more space is needed.
I will also continue with my plan to get some sort of sticker from places I visit, I already got one from BBNP when I was there to get me started. I'm also starting to have a nice collection of stickers from vendors I've purchased parts from that I'll be putting on the cooler also.

Hey peeps. I'm living in Austin and was planning a small 2 night trip out to Big Bend. I had a few questions and figured this would be a good place to ask (If it's not let me know).

    1) Is this do-able? Are there some simple trails that would be good to go on for such a small trip? (My truck isn't super modified just 32's and an OME lift)
    2) Have you all taken your dogs? (I read that there arn't many places I can take my pups to Big Bend but I'm unsure about the off-road trails
    3) What are some recommended trails you all would suggest?

    Thanks!

Yeah, you're fine stock. The primitive roads are a mix of dirt, gravel and rock. Air down and it'll help, but still be a bumpy ride. Check the condition of your spare tire before you head out there, just in case you happen to cut a tire and need to change a flat. Have fun and enjoy those stars. Never seen so many in my life!
