My entire engine compartment is covered in mud., and it filled up the little oil filter catch thingy to the brim....

I have the outside of the truck back to clean again... I'll tackle under the hood later today. First I have to go get groceries with the wife.

Yeah - I noticed some new pinstripes on my truck. Anyone have an idea on how to remove them without getting further into the paint?

To wash: to spend a day applying water and time to your rig to remove the dirt, rocks, plants, and furry animals you ran over/through while on the trail.

    Example:

    Before washing

    After washing

Wish I was done... still have to clean out the inside and engine bay.

We have the lockright lockers, but we are going to get arb or detroit lockers instead, talking to some of the older 4runner owners, they did not recommend lockrights

Haha, I had to go get a new hose for mine. Also, found out my local car wash would have washed my truck but charged me double "for the mess it would make in their system".

plus why not whenever you can run it through a $5 automated wash and have it look good.

No argument there. I figure I'll take care of the truck as long as she looks good. Once her looks start to go then I'll let this kinda stuff go.

He has a 1st gen - the only thing keeping the frame from rusting out is all the mud. :D

When I used to live down a mud road I never washed my truck either. Now that I have a concret drive way for all 30' to the paved road I try to give the truck a little better attention.
