Anyone tried TW expressing a bed cap before? I found a great one up in mid-westernern vt (poultney vt) and I'm over in cambridge MA. It's about a 3.5 hour drive for me but not sure I can find a whole day for this anytime soon - thanks for input/advice

I think it's been done. The easy way obviously would be to have someone willing to go get it, install it, and then meet you and do the same thing. Depending on the size and added options (extra weight) and the strength of all involved, two people can do it. When I picked mine up, we parked tailgate to tailgate in a strip mall parking lot, the guy got in and lifted it with his back, backed up, spun around and walked it onto my truck. I held onto it and guided it to make sure it was aligned and lowered evenly. The whole process took about 20 minutes including uninstalling and then installing the clamps. You can also place 2x4's under it and two people can lift it that way. Some of these are close to 300 lbs.

7 hours to ensure the cap is in, and stays in the specified condition, and installed is not too bad of a drive. For the right price. I paid $800 for mine. A new one was $2400. I drove almost 2 hours, one way.

Thanks guys. Ad says sold now. Hopefully someone on TW snagged it. Probably better that it is not available but that would have been a sweet upgrade to my recently acquired 2009 SR5 that was my Dads. Only 37K miles on the current suspension but.....

Thanks, I appreciate it. I have a habit of collecting parts when I see good deals so consequently I have a shed loaded with a bunch of mods that I have yet to complete. I snagged one of those pro suspension kits awhile back to stick on the truck when the current suspension wears out. It is probably not a bad thing that the parts sold. :anonymous:

Leaving Friday likely taking the mass pike route. Coming back Sunday morning most likely taking the southern route through CT probably.

Will have a topper and bed mat, or naked - topper is off right now and it’s only a few nights I can contain that in the cab don’t need bed storage. I can go either way o_O

Nice! Just taking some time and traveling? Are you set on that route or are you willing to add some time for a few recommendations along the route? :D

@GarlicFarts , Sorry, but I just heard back from the seller and he states that the bike rack has been sold and he forgot to take the listing down.
