Where to where? I'll be doing Durham NC to Providence. But I'll have a bike in the bed. Set of 4?

Oof. That's some Charleston shit right there.

Let me look at our plans and see if it makes sense.

I won't be able to make it work without a trailer. I've had 4 stock wheels in the bed and no way I'm getting a bike in there using the bed rail mounts with four wheels and tires.

If someone's got a utility trailer they are parting with down near Charleston I could be convinced.

Leaving Friday AM to get to CT, then will be down in NC for 2 weeks, then back to providence. The highlighted route is probably the route I'll take, avoiding DC, Philly, and NYC if possible.

Trip down: Pretty wide open bed

Trip up: Will have road bike in bed on forks to the front rail, so nothing heavy bouncing around back there.

@Armyhater458 and @dwcfastrice since both of you guys are going to AOAA this weekend can you hand off the hooke rear bumper there so @Armyhater458 can bring it back to the western side of the state?

yeah, if @Armyhater458 and I can get coordinated, sure

I’ll be at AOAa for just Friday since I have to work on Saturday. Was probably going to get there around 8 and leave around 4.

I'll be there around 12-1 Friday. Does it fit in dcsb? If not I'll need a spot to park the trailer.

Let me confirm but I do believe it will go diagonal in the bed.

The sides are what I'm worried about, but I believe my tent is longer. If this will fit in the bed I have no problem dragging it back with me. If not I could probably do the trailer. I just have to get my vsc calibrated Friday morning at take off. Much easier without the trailer.

it fits diagonally in the bed for sure with some room to spare around the edges.

    ...Have you set off yet?

If not, go get some 2x4 or something and put a brace across the inside of your roof rack. You slam on the brakes and it doesn't take much at all for that corner to go yee haw through your back window.

Never seen the bed mat on top of the drawers. I like that.

nope, just got it into the back on the truck. It’s anchored and multiple directions so it’s not moving but I will do as you suggest and put a 2x4 up on that front corner. Last thing I need is a bumper to get yeeted through my back windows.

as for the bed mat, it was a necessity as no one wanted to buy it and I don’t have space to store it being a condo dweller. However, it has grown on me being back there and it does keep one of the storage compartments dry so the mat is there “permatnently”.
