Wow Mike, that thing looks awesome! I didn't know they had a bike specific computer that advanced. When I had computers on my bike they were much more like this.

They`re pretty cool, they even track air time. If you really use all the metrics, you can get a shit ton of data to analyze.

Well I'm going to have to get one but probably not before this trip. The new bike is enough!

I don't even want to say. I've only ever dreamed about getting a bike like this.

I dunno, if I start talking real ‘dream’ bikes, Santa is pretty far down the list although I’d love to have one!

I didn’t know that. They do make some awesome bikes, that’s for sure. Pretty nuts what you can spend on one now days, that’s for sure.

Haha that's not their actual motto. My coworker has one. Decent enough bikes. Yeah you can easily find a 5k bike. Bikes in that realm used to be hard to find now any bike shop just has em.

Haha I have an idea too. Can't wait to see it! I have no guarantees I have a new hard tail by then. If I don't then I'll be on a 26HT motobecane.

Well, it's not THAT dreamy! I've never been one of them that needs the best of everything, but I definitely like things that are very good.

The bike I'm getting is a Trek Fuel EX 9.7. It's a full carbon, 130mm travel full suspension bike with Fox fork/shock and Shimano XT/SLX components.

    Perfect for me.

@BadDNA or anybody else. I have a question for you guys about protection. Oh course helmets are a must but how many of you guys use knee pads? I was thinking about getting a set.
