Northern Cali Trails

Can you recommend some trails for those still riding on stock suspension and stock wheels? LOL. Near Sacramento/Bay Area. Thanks.

Lots of national forest fire roads are easily accessible. Some are areas are better maintained than others. I recently went up Highway 20 near Burlington Ridge Road to get a Christmas tree which entailed going down a few miles of fire roads. They should still be somewhat passable after this storm. Plenty of areas up Foresthill Road too on the I-80 side. On the Hwy 50 side you can venture up Mormon Immigrant trail which has plenty of fire roads that link up to it. Check out Boca/ Prosser Reservoir if you are in the Truckee area. It may not be passable until late spring at this point. You can look up National Forest Service maps online and many of those access roads will give you plenty of excitement and will be relatively easy to handle with a stock rig.
