damn, I used to live off of county road 5 in tabernash. The beetle kill is so bad up in grand county, if the wind heads south down the divide towards Fraser, theres a lot of fuel to burn. hoping the snow this weekend will help.

My GF’s cousin’s ranch in Grand Lake. Her Grandpa’s ranch is right up the road. No word on it yet, but it’s probably not good. Her grandparents are evacuating to Denver. Her whole family lives in Granby/Grand Lake. Not sure where they’re going. All people and animals are safe.

Crazy how fast that fire grew. My buddy was evacuated, he lives between Lake Granby and Mountain Shadow lakes. Map shows is hasn't grown anymore towards his house since yesterday. Sad outcome for a lot people though

Got word this afternoon that the GF’s grandfather’s ranch survived somehow. They lost one outbuilding on the west side and all of their brand new snowmobiles (they rent them in the winter). House, barn and nearly all other outbuildings survived (lost two smaller cabins, as well). Overall, great news!

Is that the Winding River Ranch? Saw that on the Book of Face. Pretty popular wedding venue from what I read.
