I have 5% around and I have gotten used to it with backing up it is not to bad. About every car or truck I have owned I have had 5% on it and I have never had a cop say it was to dark. I did get a ticket for lettering on my front windsheild on one of my older cars. I went to court and just had to show it was removed. No fine.

For some odd reason, I like the look of my truck when its salty lol.

I think my truck looks better dirty, with no brake dust on the rims lol. Just my .02 cents.

Ok so just got back from the tint place and I have decided to go with 10% (their 13% actually)because they do not warranty their 5% so it made the choice very easy.

Also I was debating on this alarm very hard, while I was their he showed me a nice alarm that was 379.00 installed but I need the 50.00 bypass which is almost what I would have in that refurbished one I said ok Ill prob do that to!

Awesome, I dont think that you will regret it. What kind of alarm did you get? You get a keyless starter as well?

its not a name brand alarm...

But heres the details, Two way remote start and alarm system.

Dual zone shock sensor, temp start, LCD display, timer start, up to 3/4 mile range, start count down, interior temp display on remote.

    It says beside it 5303L

They also said they would do 5% on the front strip but I said no it would look off to me and bug me he laughed and said ok

It seems like it has some cool features, it owuldbe nice to know the interior temp of you truck before going outside and getting in.

Thats cool, I'm debating on having the front strip put on. I like the look and it seems functional as my drive to work is straight into the sun. But for some reason it just reminds me of HS when all the kids put the dark strip on there civics w/ the fart can exhaust.

Give me until next friday and Ill let you know if its worth it and how nice it is.

    Edit for alarm info

Yeah its no name brand but Im not really a name brand guy as long as the alarm goes off and it tells me it went off I dont care what its called.

Also interior temp is pretty nice to have as well!

My big thing is, the remote tells me if my alarm is tripped.

What brand of tint did they use? I have a buddy that tints windows and he uses Llumar tint and the 5% has the same warranty as the 10%.

I like front strips only if the rearview mirror is not part of the windshield. Looks goofy with the line around the rearview mirror.

I'm pretty lucky, my work/home are both in really safe areas where I dont have to worry about anything happening to my truck. The keyless started would be nice, especially in this cold weather we are having. (We had a low of 7 last night :( )

True, when I saw Chance's Tacama down at the farm, he has the front strip, and it looked good. Thats what got me thinking about having it done.

My tint is Llumar... it supposed to be the best tint you can get. I dunno if its true or not, but I have had it on my truck for 4 years and no problems so far.

And the same with the high center brake light in the rear window in some cars. It looks ugly when they got to cut around that.
