One of the guys here at the FD had a set of ION wheels and never had any issues with them... Then again, his truck was a street queen! lol

Thanks for the offer, but I'm 30 miles north of the river. Thats a haul from Etown. I'm still trying to decide if I'm gonna tackle it myself, or pay to have it done. I'm gonna check a couple of shops around here.

Hell I'm down to lend a hand, I've installed suspension on a couple mr2's but never a truck...I don't think its too different

And I have all the tools to get it done if that's an issue.

Ion makes a good wheel. The Rocky Mountain edition Jeep Wrangler came stock with them. The only issue is that you wouldn't want to wheel with Chrome. They would scratch easy if you rubbed against a rock or branch.

Thanks everyone, I know chrome is a PITA to take care of, but I haven't completely rulled it out yet. They are good looking wheels for a really good price. I guess I could always just keep my stock set for when I want to wheel down the farm.

OK I dont want to make another noob thread I have been reading and what not.

The TSB should give me what about a 1" lift in the rear? Or more I have seen mixed sayings.

I'm deciding on billys for front, either .85 or next step (1.75 I think)

Which would allow me to run 32's?

Or what would look the best, she wont see off road that much until I get armor then she will hit the trails!! So for now as much as I hate to say it she will be a mall crawler....

    So advice?/thoughts?

Would you be interested in chrome fj wheels? They're pretty much mint condition but my sister wants to get the trd wheels she's supposed to have, might be willing to part with em for cheap

5100's all 4 corners, front at .85 with Eibach Coils, Rear TSB w/AAL, TRD Catback Exhaust, AFE Pro Dry S, Duratracs, redline hood struts, maglight mod, weathertechs

You can run a 265/75/R16 or 265/70/R17 (~32inch tire depending on brand) stock. That said the billies give a much improved ride imho. I'm @1.75 on my billies and TSB and the rear is still slightly higher. YMMV though. I have 265/75/16 Duratracs and they fit no issue.

If your not going to wheel I'd say get the TSB and 5100's in all 4 corners and leave it at stock height, or .85. The higher you set them, the stiffer the ride will be. But that's just my $0.02.

Fun snowstorm we're getting. Took the taco out for my first run around in the crappy road conditions. Did pretty well. Was pretty tense going down the ice covered side road, but she didn't go sliding around. Had no trouble spinning from a dead stop, even on the ice. Brakes pretty well also, was getting a feel for how it would react, no big issues with fishtailing or sliding.

    Really like those Destination A/Ts.

I've been out enjoying the fine weather, handling in snow does take a little bit getting used to but its the learning that makes it fun ;)

They have not called me this morning to give me a update like they said they would it is irritating me.
