I'd wait until after the warranty. The members who do that though can probably take off/put on the lift rather quickly after a few go arounds.

Be a year Friday since I got my truck! Put between 12/13K on her. Love it more everyday!

I thought a lift wouldn't affect your warranty, it would only affect problems that they could prove were caused by the lift.

How many miles you got on her now Chris?

Here's a little update on my truck :D

    I'm up to 44,200.

What size are your tires? There is someone on CL who has a good looking set of the same tires you have, in 31s.

    http://columbus.craigslist.org/pts/2516953964.html

Guy is trying to sell the rims too, maybe you could see if he would just sell the tires.

Nice you're still breaking the truck in lol.

My current tires are 265/75/16s (31.5s) but I need to upgrade to some bigger tires like some 33s lol. Some 255/85/16s would be sweet but they're hard to find and usually are pretty expensive so I'll probably end up with some 285/75/16s.

    Thanks guys :)

Btw, here is my current investment... Jeep TJ w/6" lift, 37" tires, 4.88 gears, etc... Going to fix the windshield and new exhaust, then put it up for sale... I talked the ol'lady into getting the Taco afterall! ;)

I'm on the west side of Gahanna near Stygler Rd, pretty close lol. That jeep looks sweet, I'd take a Tacoma over it for sure though ;)

    Thanks :D

What.. As far as lift?? I don't think I'm going to go as wild as I did on my 1st gen dbl cab.. It was nice, but when gas prices went above $3.50 a gal, it just wasn't fun to drive anymore! Lol

I'm going to keep it mild, maybe small lift and 32's or 33's.. No bigger then 33's and I'd stay with an A/T tire also! Those M/T's I had were great off-road, but sucked in the rain!

But, I'm just focused on getting another one and try my luck with a 2nd gen!

2nd Gen, nice choice Brian. Do you know what color yet? When your ready for that BHLM, let me know!

Noon Edit: Have I mentioned the guy who I see about 3-4 times a day that drives a base Tacoma also. Usually see him when he has a lawnmower in the bed. Lives less than a mile from my house and then I see him at the McDonalds by my work all the time. Older fellow.

He followed me for about 10 minutes this morning, headed the same way I was. Came to a light finally where there were 2 lanes and pulled over to the right lane and he pulled up in the left. Exchanged "man, I see you everywhere" pleasentries.

Have to keep an eye on the Noob section.
