Yeah, I guess you could describe it that way. If you've ever seen paint protection film, its the same, except quite a bit thicker. It does come in a few different colors. Installation is pretty straight forward if your lights are smooth with no ridges. If they have ridges they can be a bit more difficult but still pretty easy if you have a heat gun or hair dryer.

Is there a date set yet for the meet up? I should be able to make just about all the dates you have listed. Where do you usually meet up at to drive down? Also where is the "farm" located road wise so i can look up a way to owenton.. The 22nd looks good as im off work on that friday.

haha yea, it's in the same county, not too far out though. I'm in Russell Springs (the center of the county). There was a big hoopla over a party getting busted down there last weekend. a bunch highschoolers were having a party down there and a couple of their mothers were partying with them . . .

Looks like Oct, 22 is going to be the best date for everyone. We usually meet up at the Alexandria Walmart then head down. I will send you a PM of the address. Hope you can make it.

Party at the dock, or on the shore? I bet the cops had to drive pretty far to bust it. Of all my years going down there, I've never seen a cop car, just the occasional water patrol or fish and wildlife.

Anyone here replace there alternator yet? My battery light is flashing and I took it to Autozone to have them test it and they said the voltage regulator inside the alternator failed the test. Now I usually only use Toyota replacement parts from the dealer but at a cost of $350 vs. 170 I think I'll go with the one from Autozone. Any thoughts?

Basically stock. OME 882s, HD Dakars and nitrochrgers, TG front bumper, custom rear bumper, 4Xinnovations sliders, RAT skids, Softopper, 255/85/16 ST MAXX's on 16" steelies, 1" B.O.R.A. wheel spacers Scangaugae II, deck plate mod, grey wire mod,ECGS bushing, diff breather relocation, alarm mod, defrost w/o compressor mod, de-badged, sockmonkey beside decals.
i would go with the aftermarket at that price. better do it soon so you dont get stranded somewhere. my gas saver (01 cavi) that i drive a few times a week is acting funny and i think it is the alternator as well.

That is pricey, but there is a reason autozone alternators and starters have lifetime warranties. In Hatteras, NC for a week, and I've already rescued one Ford.

Maybe check NAPAs price on one. For something like that I would tend to call NAPA more than I would AZ.

    You going to DIY?

You'll also get hit with a "core" charge. They'll charge you like an extra $10, then when you return the old alternator you get the $10 back.
